Reaching heights of more than 30 meters this extraterrestrial looking seaweed or giant kelp is one of the most magnificent underwater terrestrial ecosystems on Earth. In recent years the regional warming of the waters caused by marine heatwaves and other related climate change effects has devastated it’s biological habitat and been largely responsible in the disruption of the marine biodiversity. This coconut sculpture is made to commemorate the Fijian government for their proactive role in The United Nations Climate Change Conference, Cop 26.
